Helping where clean water is scarce

Access to clean water and sanitation has been a universal human right since 2010. Nevertheless, millions of people suffer from water scarcity – with serious consequences such as hunger, poverty, disease and migration.

Our Engagement

For 25 years, the WaterFoundation’s projects in Africa and South America have improved the lives of over 100,000 people.

Through us, they have clean and easily accessible drinking water and hygienic sanitation. Nature and water protection areas ensure their water supply in the long term. Because water and climate protection are one and the same.

We are helping through a variety of measures, such as

  • donating donkeys to carry water;
  • building springs and wells;
  • repairing water points and pumps;
  • installing the CloudFisher fog collector;
  • establishing nature reserves;
  • reforesting grazed areas;
  • sharing knowledge.
